In 1996, Mickaël Goupil has started his career as an associate lawyer in the capital market and M&A departments in the Paris offices of the American law firm Shearman Sterling (including a secondment in the New-York offices), where he was dealing with IPOs, secondary offerings, private placement, listed companies’ legal follow-up, take-over bids/ public exchange offers/ take-over bids and squeeze-outs, restructuring, management packages.

In 2010, he joined the law firm THEMIS in Rennes and become a partner of such firm in 2013.

In November 2016, Mickaël joined LEXT’s team in Rennes as a partner. He also intervenes in the secondary offices of LEXT based in Vannes, of which he is the founder.

He mainly intervenes in operations of M&A (including legal assistance for start-ups in their legal and fiscal structuration, fundraising, capital investment), and in setting up legal and fiscal strategies for family successions (Dutreil scheme). He also intervenes in corporate law (with a specific expertise in cooperatives), commercial law (business transfers, assignment of commercial leases, commercial leases), contract law.

His English proficiency and his international network of partners has allowed him to assist his international clients.
